This is video of our trip to ski Cloudmont, Alabama. It was a bitter cold snap that gave us the shot. Just a few days later all this snow was gone with the return of normal temperatures.
We took the kids geocaching up on the mountain in North Alabama. We had a backpack full of granola bars, water, and little plastic junk to trade in case we found a "geocache". Geochaching is great fun! It is basically like going on a treasure hunt with a GPS. You can get coordinates off of the internet.
These are some of our swimmers who competed in the Southeastern Championship. Of course it is somewhat skewed toward my own daughter because I had the most video of her races. We also managed to catch races of her team mates that we were rooting for.
This is the whole family carving pumpkins along with an aunt and uncle for good measure. Of course, being engineers, the men drag out the power tools before long!
This is Jeff, Joe, and Emma running the Rudolf Run 5K outside of Santa's village. The hospitality was in Santa's Village so the run was a great time for the whole family. At age 7, Emma was the youngest person in the race. They all did great and had a great time!
This is the 2 mile Winter Winds Road Race. Jeff and Emma ran the race together. Lots of Emma's buddies were there. Her little girl friend set a state record in the race. Emma got third place in her age division.
My cat loves to come and sit on my computer keyboard when I am working and then attack the cursor as it roves around the screen. Obviously I should be paying attention to him.
